CLUTCH Live in Bulgaria for the First Time – May 20, 2026 at Hall 3, NDK
Legendary American rock band CLUTCH will make their long-awaited debut in Bulgaria with a concert on May 20, 2026, at Hall 3 of the National Palace of Culture (NDK) in Sofia. The event is presented by Fest Team and is part of their spring program, which this year adds yet another iconic rock night to Sofia’s calendar, just days before Iron Maiden’s monumental show at Vasil Levski National Stadium.
It’s no coincidence that CLUTCH are often described as a cult, a community, and a way of life. Formed in 1991 by four high school friends from Maryland – Neil Fallon (vocals, guitar), Tim Sult (guitar), Dan Maines (bass), and Jean-Paul Gaster (drums) – the band has built one of the most loyal fan bases in rock music. Their journey began in Germantown, Maryland, and for more than three decades they have maintained the same lineup – a rare achievement in the world of heavy music. The musicians share an unbreakable personal and creative bond, something that can be felt at every show – a combination of trust, raw energy, and complete dedication to their audience. Their sound is often described as a “living organism” – Fallon’s lyrics weave together mythology, social commentary, and sharp humor, while his stage presence is both magnetic and effortlessly natural. It’s no surprise that CLUTCH fans often say they don’t just listen to the band – they belong to it.
Over the years, CLUTCH have become a symbol of independence and consistency. With 13 studio albums, multiple EPs, and live releases to their name, the band has remained true to its signature sound – a powerful hybrid of stoner rock, hard rock, blues, and punk energy, delivered with intelligent lyricism and an irresistible groove. Their latest album, “Sunrise on Slaughter Beach” (2022), is further proof of why Clutch are among the most enduring and respected rock bands on today’s scene. Classic Rock Magazine ranked releases such as Earth Rocker and Psychic Warfare among the 50 best rock albums of the decade, while Rolling Stone described their sound as “groove soaked in dust and fuzz, the kind that turns concerts into legend.”
Throughout the years, Clutch have shared the stage with Slayer, System of a Down, Marilyn Manson, and more recently toured alongside Mastodon, Killswitch Engage, and Dropkick Murphys. They are known for making every show unique – setlists change from night to night, and onstage improvisation transforms each performance into a one-of-a-kind experience.
On May 20, 2026, at Hall 3 of NDK, Bulgarian audiences will finally become part of that ritual.
