The famous progressive metal titans, Grammy Award winners and beloved by some of the most passionate fans in the world, Dream Theater are returning to the Bulgarian audience next year for another unforgettable musical experience at the Ancient Theater in Plovdiv.
The band, back in its legendary lineup – John Petrucci, Mike Portnoy, James Labrie, John Myung and Jordan Rudes, is going on tour together for the first time in fourteen years and on July 20 and 21 will present its “An Evening with Dream Theater” in Bulgaria at the invitation of Fest Team. A limited number of tickets for the second concert at the Ancient Theater in Plovdiv are already on sale on the ticketstation.bg network at prices from 150 to 300 BGN.
Dream Theater was formed in 1985 under the name Majesty by Mike Portnoy, John Petrucci and John Myung, then students at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. After 20 years with the band, during which he contributed to the release of 10 classic Dream Theater albums, Mike Portnoy left the band in 2010. Now, to the delight of fans, the famous drummer is back with Dream Theater, and the new album and tour marking the band’s 40th anniversary mark his triumphant return. Last week, the band also shared the release date for their 16th studio album, Parasomnia (February 7, 2025 via InsideOutMusic), and a brand new single and video – Night Terror.
