Marie Davidson live in Sofia on June 6th
The Canadian producer with a live show about much more than dancing at the FOMO club
Marie Davidson arrives in Sofia on June 6 with witty lyrics, piercing humor and club beats. Club FOMO will dance to the rhythm of world electronic music and City of Clowns – Davidson’s boldest and most provocative album to date, at the invitation of Fest Team. With her signature energetic techno style, combined with the sensitivity of her previous experimental pop pursuits, Davidson will deliver a direct blow to the dominance of technology over modern life. Because Marie doesn’t just want us to dance, she wants us to resist the data algorithm we have become.
Tickets for the event are on sale at prices starting at 33 BGN on the ticketstation.bg website.
For over a decade, the French-Canadian producer has been one of the most provocative figures in electronic music. From the satirical dismantling of nightlife on Working Class Woman (2018) to the genre-unconventional pop experiment of Renegade Breakdown (2020), Davidson’s evolution has always been unpredictable. With City of Clowns (2025), she delivers a powerful message about digital surveillance, control, and the struggle for authenticity in the age of algorithms and AI, and her album has received high praise from institutions such as Pitchfork, Resident Advisor, The Quietus, and Clash Magazine.
City of Clowns began as a solo project in 2021, but by the end of the summer of 2024, it included Davidson’s husband and faithful partner Pierre Guerineau and brothers Stephen and David Dewaele of the band Soulwax, whose remix of her song Work It in 2020 was nominated for a Grammy in the category of Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical.
Marie Davidson is a regular guest at some of the world’s top electronic music festivals. Her current tour has included CTM Festival, Sonar, Mutek, Houghton and DGTL, with appearances at Wide Awake, Lentekabinet and Love International in the coming months. With her latest album, Davidson has established herself as one of the most prominent figures in contemporary music – uncompromising, provocative and unstoppable, she will transform FOMO Club into a place where rhythm meets rebellion on June 6th.
Tickets for the event are available on the Ticket Station network at prices from 33 BGN. Follow the Fest Team and FOMO club social networks for more information and exclusive news.
