The electronic pioneers arrive in Bulgaria with a new show and a rich catalog of classics and contemporary tracks

The lights are flickering, the rhythm is rising, and the pulsating electronic journey continues in August. Arena Sofia (Velodrome) is becoming the scene of an extraordinary musical event featuring the cult duo Orbital – brothers Phil and Paul Hartnoll. On August 21, 2025, the duo will bring their extensive catalog of ambitious yet accessible electronic music that blurs the boundaries between genres, energizes the audience and transports them to another dimension. After decades of innovation, acclaimed albums and legendary festival appearances, Orbital arrives in Bulgaria at the invitation of Fest Team to present their new show. Tickets will be on sale from April 16 on the ticketstation.bg network.

Orbital elevate electronic music to a high art form. Combining elements of ambient, punk, techno and film soundtracks, the Hartnoll brothers have become one of the biggest names in the dance scene, completely turning the idea of live electronic music upside down and attracting countless rock fans to the boundless pleasures of electronic sound. From their famous performance at Glastonbury ’94, often considered one of the greatest concerts in history, to their most recent projects, Orbital have always found a new way to sound relevant and provocative. With classics like “Chime” and “Halcyon On and On” and albums like Monsters Exist and 30 Something, the duo continues to be at the heart of the British electronic scene, even performing at the London Paralympics in 2012 alongside Stephen Hawking.

After brief hiatuses and comebacks, Orbital will release their tenth studio album Optical Delusion in 2023 – a dark, intense and conceptual look at contemporary society, led by their explosive single “Dirty Rat”, specially created with Sleaford Mods. The track received widespread support from BBC Radio 6 Music and marked further proof that the band is in constant dialogue with the present.

Tickets for the event will be available on Ticket Station on Wednesday, April 16, with prices starting at 44 BGN.
