FUN LOVIN’ CRIMINALS with a concert in SOFIA ON JUNE 20 IN CLUB FOMO

With over 30 years on stage, the cult New York band Fun Lovin’ Criminals continue to prove why they are among the most magnetic live acts in the world. On June 20, the trio returns to Bulgaria to perform at Club FOMO, courtesy of Fest Team. Tickets go on sale on Thursday, February 26 via the Ticket Station network, starting at €30.

The band will present to the Bulgarian audience their first full-length project of new material in 15 years – their seventh studio album A Matter of Time, released last year, which marked the band’s definitive return to their signature raw, groovy sound where rock meets hip-hop, funk, blues, and soul. The album was created by founder, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Brian “Fast” Leiser and drummer Frank Benbini, with Grammy-winning Tim Latham (ISP) handling mixing and mastering.

“This is an album that reflects exactly where we are as a band,” says Fast. “Throughout our 30 years, we have always stayed true to the music we love – and that our fans love.”

Formed in New York in 1993, Fun Lovin’ Criminals became one of the most recognizable names of the ’90s. Their debut album Come Find Yourself reached No. 7 on the UK charts and went platinum, thanks to hits like “King of New York” and the iconic “Scooby Snacks,” which features lines from Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs.

Their follow-up album 100% Colombian also achieved platinum status and included tracks like “Love Unlimited” – a tribute to soul legend Barry White – as well as “Korean Bodega” and “Big Night Out.” In recent years, Fast, Frank, and guitarist Naim Cortazzi have performed over 150 shows in more than 10 countries, sharing festival stages with acts like Jamiroquai and Nile Rodgers & Chic.

“Fun Lovin’ Criminals won’t disappear – unless we’re on tour,” says Frank Benbini. Tickets for the event go on sale on Thursday, February 26 via Ticket Station, starting at €30.
