IRON MAIDEN are back!

The “Run For Your Lives” tour is at Vasil Levski Stadium on May 26, 2026, and Sofia is part of history

The legendary British band IRON MAIDEN has announced new dates for its spectacular two-year tour “Run For Your Lives”, celebrating its 50th anniversary. The Bulgarian audience will have the privilege of being part of this historic event on May 26, 2026 at the Vasil Levski Stadium in Sofia. The setlist contains songs from the most iconic years of Maiden’s career, and the show is expected to be the most impressive in the band’s history. This is a tour that will have no equivalent and the chance to experience it live in Sofia is truly unique.

Tickets for the show go on sale at 11:00 am on September 23 and, as always, are first available only to members of the IRON MAIDEN fan club. The second opportunity for exclusive pre-sales is for Fest Club members from September 24th at 11:00, and the mass sale for everyone is at Ticket Station on Saturday, September 27th at 11:00. Prices range from 99 to 280 leva.

Bassist and founder of IRON MAIDEN Steve Harris says: “We’ve all really enjoyed the Run For Your Lives tour. The fans have been amazing, the setlist is perfect for the 50th anniversary and the show is probably our best yet, the interest in tickets has been exceptional – almost everywhere sold out and over a million people in the audience. So we decided to play more shows in Europe before heading to the rest of the world later in the year. Of course, Simon Dawson will be with us again behind the drums and both he and the whole band would like to thank the fans for the incredible welcome you gave him during the first leg of the tour. We’ve always loved playing festivals, especially because it also reaches an audience that isn’t just there for us and we love that challenge! So we decided to get back to it as soon as possible during this period. most major metal festivals. In addition, we will be performing at stadiums in Greece, Romania, Slovakia and Bulgaria, where we were unable to play this year, but we have always enjoyed the passionate energy of the fans there.”

Manager Rod Smallwood commented that the reaction of fans and media to the first part of the Run For Your Lives tour was extremely positive, and the show has become one of the best in the history of IRON MAIDEN. He emphasizes that festivals have always played an important role in the development of the band and this tour is a kind of gratitude to them. IRON MAIDEN will also perform concerts at other stadiums, besides Sofia, such as in Hanover, Lyon and Milan, where they will be the first metal band to play at the legendary San Siro. Among the highlights for 2026 is their return to Paris for a special show at La Défense Arena, which will be filmed. “It was really special to see that most of our fans on this tour appreciated and respected our request to limit the use of phones during the shows. It makes the atmosphere and enjoyment of our shows really different and enjoyable for both the audience and the band,” says Smallwood.

2026 will be an extremely busy year for Maiden, so after this tour, no shows are planned for 2027.

An additional gift for fans at the national stadium on May 26 will be the special Eddie’s Official Pop-Up Dive Bar, which will also open its doors in our country – a place for pre- and post-concert meetings with Trooper Beer, Darkest Red Wine, attractive merchandise and more.
