Jean-Michel Jarre – the sound of the future in Sofia
The legend of the electronic scene is coming to our country on June 23rd
French electronic expansion: Jean-Michel Jarre and AIR on two consecutive days – June 23 and 24 at Arena Sofia
The lights dim, the first sounds fill the space, and time seems to stand still – a journey through pulsating rhythms, hypnotic melodies, and visions and sounds of the future envelop Arena Sofia (Stolich Kolodyrum) on June 23, 2025 with the legend of electronic music and forever artistic innovator Number 1 Jean-Michel Jarre.
The world-famous artist comes at the invitation of Fest Team, for a complete audiovisual immersion of the audience in a futuristic world of rhythm, light and technology. Tickets go on sale on April 3 exclusively for the artist’s fan club and at Fest Club. Mass sales start on April 4 on the ticketstation.bg platform.
Jean-Michel Jarre presents a spectacle that transcends the musical and becomes a complete visual experience, beyond the boundaries of the standard concert format. From his record-breaking concerts with audiences of over three million people in Moscow and Houston to his revolutionary virtual performances in the Metaverse, he has remained a leading figure in musical innovation for more than four decades. The visionary was the first Western musician invited to perform in China in 1981, and since then he has created large-scale spectacles at historical and natural landmarks such as the Egyptian Pyramids, the Sahara Desert, the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, the Eiffel Tower, the Dead Sea and many others. With over 85 million albums sold and appearances on the world’s biggest stages – including Coachella and the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris – Jean-Michel Jarre’s music from the future has been heard almost everywhere, and this summer we will hear it at Arena Sofia.
Always on the border between art and technology, beyond his strictly artistic activity, Jean-Michel Jarre is a UNESCO Ambassador for Education, Science and Culture, recipient of the French Legion of Honor and the Stephen Hawking Medal for Science Communication. As an artist and activist, he uses his art as a platform for messages that reach millions.
As part of Fest Team’s active summer season, Jean-Michel Jarre’s concert precedes another key musical event – on June 24, the Arena Sofia stage will welcome another iconic French electronic project – AIR. The two consecutive days with artists who have left a deep mark on the development of electronic music outline June as the culmination point of the French electronic expansion this summer.
United by their French origins, experimental spirit and global influence, Jean-Michel Jarre and AIR come to Sofia with two completely different but complementary worlds – one event is a large-scale, multimedia spectacle, the other – exquisite live sound cinematography. For the Bulgarian audience, this is a rare opportunity to be part of a cultural coincidence that is transforming the capital into a stage for excellence in contemporary electronic music.
In response to the interest in both events, Fest Team will offer an opportunity to upgrade an already purchased AIR ticket with a surcharge for the Jean-Michel Jarre concert, as well as a limited number of combined tickets for the two consecutive concerts. Thus, fans of the contemporary electronic scene can fully experience the French electronic wave in Sofia with one ticket – for two different worlds, represented by two of the most iconic artists of the genre. Expect information about upgrades and combined tickets at ticketstation.bg.
Ticket sales for Jean-Michel Jarre’s performance started on April 3 – exclusively for the artist’s fan club and members of the Fest Club. From April 4, tickets will be available to everyone on the ticketstation.bg network. Tickets for AIR are on the ticket seller’s network here.
