The Croatian rock band will take the stage before the heavy metal legends at Vidas Art Arena on August 29
Croatian hard rock and progressive metal band JELUSICK will join Judas Priest for their major concert in Sofia on August 29 at Vidas Art Arena. Just a few days after their joint concert in Croatia, the two bands will arrive in Bulgaria for a powerful night of rock and heavy metal. Two years after their major concert in Bulgaria, legendary Judas Priest will return to the country as part of their European “Faithkeepers” tour. JELUSICK was founded by Dino Jelusick, a vocalist, keyboardist and songwriter known for his work with Whitesnake, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Dirty Shirley with George Lynch, and many others. Together with Ivan Keller on guitar and Luka Brodaric on bass, the band delivers a powerful blend of hard rock and heavy metal, infused with progressive elements and strong melodic lines. Joining them on stage will be Bulgarian drummer Nick Nikolaev, known for his work with Stanley, hug or handshake and other bands.
The band has released two studio albums, with their 2023 debut “Follow the Blind Man” receiving widespread recognition for its production and lyrical depth. The album was awarded “Best Rock Album of 2023” at the Porin Awards, Croatia’s most prestigious music awards. “This is a very powerful melodic heavy metal record with stellar production and exceptional music,” wrote Metal Temple. The following year, JELUSICK took their music to the international stage, performing at major European rock festivals and concerts across South America, sharing stages with artists such as Sebastian Bach and Mr. Big.
With their second album, “Apolitical Ecstasy”, released in 2025, the band took another step forward, combining heavy riffs, intricate musicianship and powerful vocals. The album features 10 tracks, including “Seasons”, “Power to the People” and “Hangman”. Once again, the record received international acclaim, with most critics rating it 9 or 10 out of 10 and highlighting its powerful sound. Publications such as Powerplay and MyGlobalMind Webzine described “Apolitical Ecstasy” as “an album that once again proves why Dino is regarded as one of the most sought-after vocalists in the hard rock scene” and called it “a must-listen”. Last year, the band also took its music to South Korea, touring and performing alongside YB, one of Asia’s biggest rock bands.
Bulgarian audiences will witness JELUSICK’s powerful and uncompromising performance on August 29 at Vidas Art Arena, before heavy metal giants Judas Priest return to the Sofia stage. With an impressive career spanning almost 60 years, the band was formed in Birmingham, England, in 1969, and remains an active and formidable presence on the global music scene. From iconic albums such as “Sin After Sin” (1977), “British Steel” (1980) and “Screaming for Vengeance” (1982), through arguably their heaviest album, “Painkiller” (1990), to “Firepower” (2018), which features 14 tracks and became one of the most highly acclaimed records of their career, Judas Priest continue to evolve while remaining equally beloved by critics and fans.
