JUDAS PRIEST Back in Bulgaria This Summer

On August 29, the heavy metal legends will perform at Vidas Art Arena

Two years after their major concert in Bulgaria, the legendary Judas Priest return to the country for another dose of heavy metal classics this summer on August 29, 2026, at the Vidas Art Arena. The concert is part of their upcoming European tour titled “Faithkeepers.”

Tickets for the Judas Priest concert, coming to Bulgaria courtesy of Fest Team, will go on pre-sale on March 17 for Fest Club members, and on general sale from March 18 via the Ticket Station network, starting at €55. Sofia is one of the stops on their tour, which begins in Germany and will continue through Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, and Spain.

Judas Priest are one of those musical legends that no matter how many times you see them live, it’s never enough. With an impressive career spanning nearly 60 years, the band was formed in 1969 in Birmingham, England – considered by many to be the birthplace of heavy metal. To this day, the band’s presence on the global music scene remains more than active. From iconic albums like “Sin After Sin” (1977), “British Steel” (1980), and “Screaming for Vengeance” (1982), through probably their heaviest album “Painkiller” (1990), to “Firepower” (2018), which features 14 tracks and became one of the most highly acclaimed releases of their career, Judas Priest continue to evolve and are equally beloved by critics and fans alike.

In 2022, band members Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, Ian Hill, and Scott Travis were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, introduced by legendary shock rocker Alice Cooper. Recently, Judas Priest drummer Scott Travis was awarded “The Louie Bellson Award” at the Drumeo Awards for his lasting contribution to drumming mastery. “I’m very excited and honored to receive this award. It’s a true honor for me. Thank you,” shared the legendary musician. Last month also saw the premiere of the Judas Priest documentary “The Ballad of Judas Priest” during the 76th edition of the Berlinale International Film Festival. The film traces more than 50 years of the band’s history, from the working-class neighborhoods of Birmingham to their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Despite 19 albums, thousands of concerts, and numerous awards, the heavy metal giants remain tireless. Their latest album, “Invincible Shield,” was launched with a large-scale tour in 2024, which included their concert in Bulgaria. The tour was sold out in the UK and Europe, and its success in North America was so significant that the band conducted two tours there in the same year. Among their accolades are a Grammy Award for “Best Metal Performance” in 2010 for the song “Dissident Aggressor” from the live album “A Touch of Evil: Live,” as well as the VH1 Rock Honors award in 2006.

The Bulgarian audience remembers well their last encounter with Judas Priest in 2024, when the band drew thousands to the arena. Fans from three generations were present. Soon, heavy music lovers will once again have the chance to enjoy the uncompromising sound and voice of the Birmingham legends – this time outdoors in the heart of Borisova Gradina, on the stage of Vidas Art Arena.

Tickets for the Judas Priest concert on August 29 at Vidas Art Arena will be available for pre-sale on March 17 for Fest Club members and on general sale on March 18 through Ticket Station, starting from €55 for the fastest fans.
