KHANЪ with New Album Premiere, Together with BAILDSA and Verya

n May 30, the small stage of Vidas Art Arena will host a special evening dedicated to contemporary music that boldly intertwines tradition with modern sounds. The band KhanЪ will perform their new album “Bitka” live – a release that captures the turning points and creative explorations of the band over the past years, transforming their journey into a musical story of strength, community, and drive.

The evening will open with the duo Verya – the musical project of soprano Maria Anastassova and harpist Ivayla Todorova. The duo combines world folklore, music from films, and popular video games, creating an ethereal yet impactful atmosphere where voice and harp intertwine as a bridge between past and present. Their repertoire includes pieces from The Witcher 3, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Skyrim, as well as original arrangements that have already attracted strong attention from audiences across Bulgaria.

Following them on stage will be the Greek band BAiLDSA – a high-energy Balkan punk-n-roll formation from Thessaloniki, founded in 2008. Known for their explosive blend of Balkan and Romani melodies with punk, ska, reggae, dub, rap, and rock, the group has built a reputation for dynamic concerts throughout Europe. BAiLDSA carries a message of solidarity, freedom, and resistance against social division, with music that is both a celebration and a statement.

The climax of the evening will be the premiere of “Bitka”, KhanЪ’s new album. Bitka symbolizes the journey walked shoulder to shoulder with their “troop” over the past two years – celebrating small and large victories, sacrifices for the cause, and internal and external conflicts that shape character. From the seashore to the Balkan peaks, through dense forests and golden fields, the album evokes the sense of a march and forward movement. For more than 15 years, KhanЪ have developed a recognizable style that fuses traditional Bulgarian and Balkan music with rock and metal, combining instruments like the gaida, kaval, tambura, oud, and saz with heavy guitar riffs and powerful drums. The themes range from historical narratives to contemporary social and personal issues, all expressed through the band’s distinctive artistic signature.

KhanЪ’s journey toward a more mature, focused, and emotionally impactful stage of their artistry will culminate in the “Bitka” for Sofia on May 30 at the small stage of Vidas Art Arena, alongside the duo Verya and their Greek collaborators BAiLDSA
