PHILLGOOD Brings Global Acts and Fresh Energy to Plovdiv

A new three-day festival featuring The Cure, Gorillaz, and Moby turns the city into the Balkan music destination. Tickets go on sale Monday, October 20 via Ticket Station

In July 2026, Plovdiv will host PHILLGOOD, an exciting new musical journey from the Fest Team family, placing Bulgaria among Europe’s leading festival destinations. From July 17 to 19, the Rowing Base will transform into the brightest stage in the Balkans for three days, delivering an emotional restart for audiences. A fresh, avant-garde, and soul-filled festival with artists fans have dreamed of for years!

Welcome PHILLGOOD – a festival radiating positive energy, freedom, and that elusive “feel good” vibe, evident from the first teaser to the announcement of the first headliners. The Cure, eternal icons of alternative sound with a melancholic superpower. Gorillaz, the Grammy-winning virtual band born from chance meetings and pure luck, exploding onto the world stage with their colorful story and innovative virtual concept. And Moby, an artist who transformed electronic music into a cause and emotional experience. More names will be revealed for the festival’s inaugural edition.

The festival was officially announced on October 16 at a special event in FOMO Club, celebrating friends and partners of Fest Team after a music-packed 2025. The cryptic online messages of the past days were explained, and Plovdiv secured its new role as home of PHILLGOOD. Mayor Kostadin Dimitrov stated: “It is an honor for our city to host and give flight to this new festival. We support it because we believe PHILLGOOD will unite people, musical tastes, sound, and energy in an experience full of optimism and human connection.” Stefan Elenkov, Fest Team’s Executive Director, added: “PHILLGOOD is inspired by the spirit of Europe’s oldest living city, a city of warmth, character, and freedom. Its name is a playful nod to Philippopolis. We want people to truly feel good and experience the pure thrill that only live music can provide, that moment when everything else fades away.”

On July 17, The Cure will headline, bringing nearly five decades of influence to Bulgaria. Robert Smith, Simon Gallup, Jason Cooper, Roger O’Donnell, and Reeves Gabrels will perform tracks from their latest masterpiece, “Songs of a Lost World”. Expect an iconic performance and a crowd singing along to classics like “Friday I’m in Love.”

July 18 will feature Gorillaz, bringing their colorful audio-visual world to Plovdiv. Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett’s global phenomenon blurs the lines between real and digital, presenting tracks from the upcoming 2026 album The Mountain alongside fan favorites.

The festival closes on July 19 with Moby, a producer and activist who transforms electronic music into a space for reflection and connection. Known for his commitment to animal rights and environmental causes, his performance merges emotional depth with energetic innovation, offering a fitting finale to the three-day PHILLGOOD experience.
