December this year brings not only a sweet holiday mood, but also gifts for the darkest souls, and today the news is about an event that will envelop music lovers in mystery and grandeur. On July 9, 2025, Arena Sofia /Stolich Kolodrom/ will become a stage for a fearsome musical cult when the legendary King Diamond returns to Bulgaria to leave a mark in the hearts of all fans of the dark arts.

One of the most iconic and mystical artists in the history of heavy music is coming to Bulgaria at the invitation of Fest Team as part of the Sofia Solid concert series on July 9 next year. Tickets will be available from Saturday, December 14, for Fest Club members, and on Monday, December 16, they go on official sale at ticketstation.bg at prices from 66 to 120 BGN.

With vocals so ominous they seem to have been forged in the bowels of Hell and a stage presence that shakes to the bone, King Diamond is without a doubt one of the most iconic names in the metal world. Best known as the frontman of the iconic Mercyful Fate, who were recently in Plovdiv as part of Hills of Rock 2022, he rose to prominence as an icon of proto-black metal in the 1980s – an era marked by occult themes and neoclassical melodies woven into supernatural harmonies. The King’s solo career is a true symphony of darkness, with the concept album Abigail (1987) an example of ingeniously dark theatre, melodic complexity and terrifying beauty.

King Diamond’s 2025 summer tour, which will also visit our country in July, will be joined as special guests by Unto Others. The American band that blurs the lines between classic heavy metal, gothic rock and modern hard rock, creating a sound that is both familiar and provocative. With the charismatic Gabriel Franco in the lead role, they will add dramatic atmosphere and uncompromising energy to this already iconic concert evening.
