On July 15, 2026, The Wailers will perform in Sofia at the invitation of Fest Team as part of their anniversary tour, 50 Years of Positive Vibrations, marking half a century since the release of the album “Rastaman Vibration.” In the height of the Sofia summer, the stage of Vidas Art Arena will become the place where audiences return to one of the brightest periods in the history of Bob Marley & The Wailers, with music that continues to speak about freedom, dignity, and human connection to this day.

When “Rastaman Vibration” was released in 1976, reggae stepped beyond Jamaica’s borders, and this very album established its voice on the global stage. Songs such as “Positive Vibration,” “Roots, Rock, Reggae,” and “War” carry a spirit of resistance, faith, and humanity in music that brings people together and encourages them to truly listen to one another. Today, the legacy of The Wailers lives on under the leadership of Aston Barrett Jr., son of the legendary Aston “Familyman” Barrett. With deep respect for the roots and a clear sense of responsibility to continue an enduring story, he leads the band forward with authenticity and purpose. Joining him on stage is Mitchell Brunings, a vocalist with remarkable presence whose voice and energy capture the spirit of reggae and pass it on to new generations of listeners.
Aston Barrett Jr.’s journey extends beyond the stage and onto the big screen – in 2024, he portrayed his father in the biographical film “Bob Marley: One Love,” directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green – a personal and powerful gesture that adds another dimension to his connection with The Wailers’ history. Their Grammy-nominated albums “One World” and “Evolution” show that The Wailers, fortunately, do not live only in memories. “Evolution,” produced by Emilio Estefan Jr., transforms classic roots reggae into a contemporary, global sound, while the messages of love, freedom, and human dignity continue to resonate around the world.
