Tricky Returns to Sofia Live on June 12

The trip-hop legend with a concert at FOMO Club

Tricky, one of the most influential and fearlessly genre-defying artists of the past decades, returns to the live stage in 2026 with an entirely new live concept and a concert as part of Fest Team’s club program at Sofia’s FOMO. Tickets go on sale via the Ticket Station network on November 28.

Tricky has developed his own distinct musical language, blending slow dub rhythms with influences from rock, blues, post-punk, and other underground movements. Born Adrian Thaws in Bristol in 1968, he began his career with the legendary The Wild Bunch, the precursor to Massive Attack. After contributing to the landmark album Blue Lines (1991), Tricky made his breakthrough with his solo debut Maxinquaye (1995), dedicated to his late mother, Maxine Quaye. With its dark samples, genre-blurring soundscapes, and whispered, shadowy vocals, the album established Tricky as one of the defining figures of the trip-hop movement.

Over the years, he has remained true to his independence and experimental spirit—both through his solo releases and collaborations with artists such as Massive Attack, PJ Harvey, and Björk. With his most recent collaborations alongside Polish singer Marta Zlakowska, Tricky once again proves that he continues to create bold, genre-bending music with a clear and uncompromising vision.

After dozens of tours and nearly 30 years on stage, Tricky is ready to reinterpret his compelling discography in a new live format—an experience that will also reach Bulgaria.

Tricky performs live on June 12 in Sofia at FOMO Club. Tickets go on sale on November 28 via ticketstation.bg.
