Fest Team presents:

Hayes & Y are returning to their hometown of Sofia for their first headline show since the release of their latest single “HOW COULD YOU?!?”. The Bulgarian-Finnish band will perform at Pirotska 5 Event Center on December 29 at the invitation of Fest Team. Tickets are already on sale via Ticket Station, with prices starting at €15.

Hayes & Y is a band with a rich history. It was founded by Blagoslav Anastasov (vocals and guitar), Ivaylo Delev (bass) and Radoslav Lozanski (guitar), who have been friends since high school. After playing for small crowds, Hayes & Y gradually grew into one of the most successful indie rock bands in Bulgaria, and in 2015 they opened for Kasabian at Spirit of Burgas.

In 2016, the band moved to the United Kingdom, where they met their current drummer, Finnish-born Dennis Holbeck. This unusual Bulgarian-Finnish mix has kept pushing the band forward ever since. Since then, Hayes & Y have received airplay on BBC 6 Music, BBC Manchester, KEXP and Deutschlandfunk Kultur, and were selected to perform at the prestigious music showcase ESNS. 2022 was a big year for them: they played Summer Well festival in Romania alongside Arctic Monkeys, Jungle and Nothing But Thieves, and released their debut album “Press. Go. Move. Slow.”. The band went on to play more major Bulgarian and international festivals and showcases, including Burgas Summer Live, Electric Castle in Romania, 50 Lab in Belgium and PIN in Macedonia.

Last year, Hayes & Y released their second album, “Departures”, featuring 10 songs. That same year, the band performed at Primavera Sound in Barcelona and InMusic in Zagreb. The album became the most successful release in their 10+ year history, surpassing 7 million streams on Spotify. This naturally led to new, high-quality music, culminating in their latest song “HOW COULD YOU?!?”, released on May 28. It is also the first single from their upcoming third studio album, due out next year.

The Hayes & Y concert on December 29 at Pirotska 5 Event Center promises to be unforgettable. It will also be the band’s first time in front of a Bulgarian audience since their performance this summer at the newest festival in Fest Team’s portfolio, PHILLGOOD. There, the band delivered a powerful set on the PHILLCOOL stage and, to the fans’ surprise, were joined by Stenli. Just like then, Hayes & Y will have special guests for their December concert, who remain a secret for now. Tickets for the event are on sale via Ticket Station, with prices starting at €15.
